Hundreds of vintage vehicles set to pull up for the Faversham Festival of Transport 2025
Start revving your engines as one of the county’s biggest transport shows gears up for another weekend of vintage vehicles.
Faversham’s Festival of Transport returns to the market town for a huge display of classic cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and steam engines.
The show, which draws thousands of visitors each year, starts with a day of free bus rides around town on the Saturday.
The vintage buses will take passengers on a tour of Faversham and the surrounding villages before returning to the town centre, where there will be a display of commercial vehicles.
Crowds can also browse the various markets, including a Best of Faversham market selling local produce and gifts and an indoor market inside the Alexander Centre.
The main show, however, takes place on the Sunday, when hundreds of classic cars and rare sports motors will take over the medieval town.
A selection of steam engines will be arriving in convoy and will then be on display for visitors to admire outside the Shepherd Neame brewery.
There will also be different collections of vehicles dotted around town. The pre-1945 vehicles can be found in the marketplace, while cars that fall into the ‘elite motors’ category will be parked up on Court Street and a handful of military vehicles can be found on Stone Street.
The motorcycle showcase will be set up under the Guildhall, while high-performance sports cars will be lined up on Preston Street and East Street, and the Central Car Park will be filled with more unique models for the car enthusiasts.
There will also be children’s entertainment, live demonstrations, interactive activities and food and drink stalls.
The Faversham Festival of Transport takes place on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. It’s all free to enter and there’s no need to book.
