New installations to appear at the Christmas at Bedgebury 2025 light trail at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, near Goudhurst
A festive light trail is bringing several new attractions to a country park for this year’s sparkling event.
The immersive experience returns to Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, near Goudhurst, this November, with millions of twinkling lights and colourful projections.
Among the new installations are 20 illuminated tree stars, which tower above the nighttime trail at up to five metres tall.
The new Light as a Feather installation, created by Pyrite Creative, will bring 12 UV-lit feathers suspended from the treetops, while Light Lines, a striking display of 200 glowing one-metre light battens, will set the paths alight.
Visitors can also see six intricate dragonfly lanterns produced by artist Martha Ellis and Output Arts’ Tis the Season installation featuring oversized decorative baubles, before walking through seven bauble arches in the shape of Christmas trees.
Alongside the new features will be returning favourites, such as the cathedral light tunnel and fountain show.
This year marks 100 years since the opening of the pinetum and, as part of a tribute to the anniversary, some of the site’s centenary trees will be illuminated.
In 1925, 315 trees were planted and, today, 89 of them remain, and each of them are marked with a distinctive yellow label.
The after-dark trail also includes festive food and drink and seasonal music.
The Christmas at Bedgebury event opens on Friday, November 21 and continues until New Year’s Eve. You can book tickets online here.
Adult tickets start from £18, child tickets start from £12. Family tickets are also available, starting from £57.
