Free dog show at Dreamland, Margate, with treats and prizes
A free dog show is coming to one of Kent’s biggest outdoor attractions.
Dreamland, Margate’s vintage fairground and music venue, is welcoming four-legged visitors for a day of agility classes and tasty treats.
The Dreamland Dog Day returns this September, giving pet owners a chance to bring their furry friends to the quirky funfair and enter the dog show to compete for Best in Show.
There will be a range of classes that you can sign up for on the day, all provided by Enve Canine Services, and all of the money raised will be donated to the Thanet branch of RSPCA Kent.
There will also be gifts and treats on sale from stallholders in the food court and a free film being shown on the big screen from the outdoor Scenic Stage.
Dreamland Dog Day takes place on Sunday, September 21 from 11am to 6pm.
It’s all free to enter. Dogs are not allowed in the indoor spaces. Entry will be via the Scenic Gate in the Belgrave Road Car Park.
That’s not the only dog-friendly event taking place that weekend, as Paws in the Park returns to the Kent Event Centre in Detling, near Maidstone, on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21. You can book tickets online here.
The two-day festival will include activities, games, sports and courses for the dogs to try, along with competitions and classes.
There will also be an arena with daily displays, stalls selling accessories and toys, experts offering advice for pet owners, and overnight camping.
