Hever in History is a three-day experience that brings together reenactors and demonstrations to help bring bygone eras back to life.

There will be living history displays recreating medieval villages and wartime battlefields to immerse guests in different periods.

Workshops in everything from outdoor crafts to cooking will also show how normal people lived their everyday lives throughout the years.

The weekend includes living history displays, jousting tournaments, falconry, live entertainment and more. Picture: Hever Castle and Gardens / Oliver Dixon Photography

Over the weekend, there will also be a jousting tournament, where brave knights will fight it out in the arena to win over the royal family and be named champion of the season.

The tournament will begin with a procession led by Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and the castle’s Royal Foot Soldiers before the knights take their place in the jousting arena.

On Saturday, visitors can also catch Anne Boleyn: The Musical, a gripping new show all about the castle’s former royal resident.

The production takes audiences on Anne’s journey, sharing details from her personal story and revealing her ambitions that ultimately led her to the heart of Tudor Court life.

It takes place in a 1,800-seat covered theatre that has been specially constructed for the show and features binaural sound, creating a 3D audio experience with each audience member having their own personal headset to fully immerse them in the story and score.

Hever in History will be at Hever Castle from Saturday, August 23 to Monday, August 25. You can book tickets online here.

The living history displays and jousting tournament are included in a standard entry ticket, however, tickets to Anne Boleyn: The Musical will need to be purchased separately.
