mum2mum market coming to Canterbury
A baby goods market, as seen on BBC’s Dragons' Den, is coming to Kent.
The nearly-new sale system called mum2mum market, which enables families to sell top quality goods directly to other families and keep 100% of the profits, was featured on the programme which sees budding businesses pitch their ideas, earlier this year.
Canterbury will host one of Kent’s first mum2mum markets next month.
It will take place in Kendall Hall at St Mary Bredin Church on Saturday May 7.
Parents with pre-loved maternity and pregnancy clothes, children’s clothes, toys and equipment to sell can book a stall at the sale for a set fee and then sell their belongings at prices which they decide – being able to haggle with shoppers face to face on the day.
Mum of two Kayleigh Marsh from Dover has taken on a Kent franchise after discovering that the markets provided a clear and straightforward way for parents to get rid of unwanted baby and toddler belongings while making some money for themselves and their families.
She added: “I've had a lot of interest already, so it promises to be a great event.”
The sale at the hall on Old Dover Road will take place between 10am and noon.
Entry is £2 per person, children free, with a free goody bag for the first 100 people.
But a 2 for 1 entry voucher is currently available by clicking here.
