Chatham-based MCDA Allstars to compete at Allstar World Championship in Florida next year

kmfm presenters Rob Wills and Numi Gildert paid a visit to a cheerleading squad that will be taking part in one of the world’s most competitive championships.

MCDA Allstars, based in Chatham, will be representing the UK at the Allstar World Championship 2026 in Florida.

kmfm Breakfast presenters Rob and Numi visited the team last week to witness their talent firsthand – and even gave cheer a go themselves.

Almost 30 athletes from the Junior team Surge and Senior team Thunder will be representing the country.

Parents and supporters will be covering the costs of flights, however, the group has set up a GoFundMe to raise money for competition entry fees, training sessions, and new kits.

It has a goal of £8,000, and donations can be made here.

The fundraising team said: “We’re not just a team — we’re a community that believes in discipline, dedication, teamwork, and empowerment through sport.

“We’ll be taking 29 talented girls to this prestigious event to represent not just MCDA, but the UK, on an international stage.

“This is more than a competition — it’s a dream come true.

“For many of these girls, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform among the best in the world.

“It's the reward for countless hours of hard work, early mornings, late-night practices, and unwavering commitment.

“It’s a chance to show what’s possible when young athletes are given the support they need to thrive.”

If the fundraiser exceeds its goal, funds will be used to improve gym facilities at the site in Medway.
