4) Dawn Chorus Bird Walk, Bore Place, Edenbridge

5) Penguin, Revelation St Mary's, Ashford

Ben is delighted when he rips open his present and inside is a penguin. "Hello Penguin!" says Ben. Penguin says nothing. Ben tickles Penguin, he pulls his funniest face, he puts on a happy hat, sings a silly song and does a dizzy dance. Penguin says nothing… so Ben fires Penguin into space, Penguin comes back to earth without a word! 6) Medway Comic and Screen Festival, Medway Park

All weekend

Meet the stars and characters from comics, television and movies at this event in Medway running from from 10am to 5pm on both days. There will be comics, toys, gaming and collectables. Entry is £12 and £8 for children. For details go to mcsf.co.uk

7) Powerful Tides, Historic Dockyard Chatham

The new exhibition celebrating maritime art is one of the events planned to mark the dockyard's 400th anniversary this year. While at the dockyard, head to the Ropery, play areas and cafe or head down into the depths of the submarine for a fantastic family day out. Details at thedockyard.co.uk
