1 Avengers: Endgame, cinemas countywide

Released on Thursday, April 26

Take the bigger kids for a family movie trip this weekend to catch the latest Avengers film. The much-anticipated blockbuster is tipped to break box office records. Avengers: Endgame follows last year's Avengers: Infinity War and sees the surviving superheroes join forces to avenge their fallen comrades. The film is rated a 12A and showing at cinemas across Kent from Friday.

2 Free family tennis day, Maidstone Lawn Tennis Club

Saturday, April 27

To celebrate its 35th anniversary Maidstone Lawn Tennis Club is inviting everyone to a free family open day.

Welcoming members and non-members of all ages and abilities events will include the chance to try new fitness craze Cardio Tennis and enjoy free adult and junior coaching (sessions can be booked in advance).

There will also be the ball machine, a barbecue, fastest serve competition and the chance to challenge coaches to a match in which they will be using frying pans! To learn more about the event and the club visit its facebook page.

3 Miniature Steam Weekend, Elham Valley Line Trust

Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28

Several miniature steam vehicles from traction engines to lorries will be visiting the Elham Valley Line Trust this weekend to entertain visitors. The on-site Railway Museum was created in the 1980s, to capture the history of the Elham Valley Railway Line which ran through the picturesque Elham Valley between Canterbury and Folkestone, from 1884 to 1947.

The tulips have bloomed earlier than expected at Hever Castle - but celebrations will still be taking place across the weekend. Walk with your family among 30,000 tulips currently bringing gorgeous colour to the castle's grounds.

Bring the family pet along to Faversham's Doggy Day - a day of canine competitions and fun!

The event takes place in the heart of the town on Sunday in Market Place and is being held in aid of Happy Endings Rescue.

There will be a dog show with competition categories including: Fancy Dress; Junior Handler; Golden Oldie; Most Handsome Dog; Best Sausage Catcher and Waggiest Tail. There will also be stalls selling dog-related accessories and services. To learn more click here.

Individuals and teams of all ages and abilities are being invited to join one of Sittingbourne's most colourful events this Sunday. The colour run by The Friends of Wisdom Hospice starts and finishes at the country park. Runners taking to the course will be showered in powered paint. The event begins with a huge blast of colour to get you on your way then run, jog or walk through vibrant coloured paint clouds as you pass each of the colour stations. 7 Lambing Day, Ashford & District Young Farms Club, Hope Farm, Wittersham

Sunday, April 28

The young farmers will be once again holding their popular lambing day this Sunday.

Bring the family along to see the newborn lambs, enjoy tractor and trailer rides, children's games and fairground rides, there will be food and refreshments as well as local food produce stalls. Youngsters can also enjoy some meet and greets in cuddle corner and a sheep shearing demo. The event takes place between 10am and 4pm. The postcode for the farm is TN30 7NP.
