Make an ancient brooch Roman Museum, Canterbury

Until Tuesday, February 28

Drop into the Roman Museum this weekend and you can make an ancient brooch to take home. It's £1 per child in addition to museum entry but remember kids go free with paying adults (maximum of two free per adult). The museum is open Monday to Sunday from 10am until 5pm.

Here's something a teenager will leave their room for! Take a trip through the dark tunnels under Ramsgate - the UK's largest network of civilian wartime tunnels. The tour takes up to an hour and a half and sensible footwear is a must.

Head to Beaver Water World this weekend to see more than 500 animals at the largest exotic animal rescue charity in the UK. Make a day of it by seeing the animals, taking part in reptile handling and grabbing some food.

Kidz Planet Folkestone

Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sundays 10am to 6pm

Let the kids let off some steam this weekend at Kidz Planet. There's something for all ages from segregated play for under twos to a rocket train - kids won't want to leave! Children under the age of four must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Doc Yard's Secret Lab Historic Dockyard Chatham

Take the kids to experience a 45-minute hands on hair-raising activity. Included in the session is the Static Zone, Doc's Study, the Magnetic Zone and more. Entry can be booked online or at the door - but time slot spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis. This hair-raising activity takes place inside No.1 Smithery and is part of the dockyard ticket that can be used all year round for repeat visits.
