The Lion King official movie trailer released

by Lauren Abbott

It's the movie trailer animal lovers and Disney fans have been waiting for!

There might be almost 100 days before The Lion King arrives at UK cinemas, but the official trailer for the much-anticipated re-make has just been released.

It's been 25 years since the first Lion King film was released back in 1994.

The all-new Lion King is one of a number of Disney blockbusters for 2019. Others include Dumbo, released in March, Aladdin and Toy Story 4.

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new The Lion King journeys once again to the African savannah where future king Simba is born.

But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival and a battle for Pride Rock ensues and Simba has to grow-up and work out how to take back what is rightfully is.

The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa.

The Lion King roars into Kent cinemas for the 25th anniversary on July 19.
