A Weekend For Mum, Penshurst Place, Tonbridge

Crafts in the Old Coach House are taking place at Penshurst Place on Saturday, March 30 ahead of Mother's Day while on Sunday alongside crafts will be special lunch menus in the Porcupine Pantry and Garden Restaurant.
Sunday will also see a unique presentation by Tudor Legacies and the six wives of Henry VIII who are ready to finally reveal what it was really like to be married to the famous King!

Mother's Day weekend at Hever Castle

Show your mum just how much you love her with a family day out to Hever Castle on Mother’s Day weekend. The historic Castle and stunning gardens is putting on some super special events over the weekend to celebrate Mothering Sunday.

Visit the castle, enjoy a walk around the stunning 125 acre grounds or head over to the Tudor Towers adventure playground and natural play area to let the little ones run off some energy. There is also craft and cupcake decorating sessions running (may require an extra charge). And when everyone is in need of some refreshment, afternoon tea is being served in the elegant Guthrie Pavilion Restaurant in the Italian Garden overlooking the Lake (pre-booking is a must!).

First There is a Mountain project, Leysdown

Families are being encouraged to join an art project and build sandcastles on a beach on Mothering Sunday.

The project called First There is a Mountain will see a north Kent beach transformed into an enormous sand sculpture as participants mould the area into thousands of mountains of sand to form micro-geologies. A unique set of buckets, shaped like some of the world's most well-known mountains, have been designed and made for the project which the public will be able to use along with spades to build the sand mountains between 3pm and 5pm. Afternoon Tea at Dreamland, Margate

Treat the most important lady in your life to some vintage splendour this Mother’s Day.

Dreamland Margate is hosting a vintage afternoon tea on Sunday, March 31 in the beautiful restored 1920s ballroom.
