The annual Summer Jousting Tournaments are a staple part of the attraction's holiday entertainment - and this year is set to be no different.

Competitions will begin on August 8 and 9 followed by August 15 and 16, 22 and 23 and then August 29 to August 31 to include the Bank Holiday weekend.

Audiences are set to be entertained with exhilarating displays of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena.

Competitions will take place in a two acre field and families are encouraged to bring a blanket to watch the competitions.

Spectator stands are also available for pre-booking at a cost of £25 for a stand, with occupancy in line with current government guidelines.

Some new safety measures will be in place, say organisers, and the popular procession with Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and the Knights of Royal England from the castle forecourt to the arena will not happen this year.

Since government guidelines have relaxed Hever Castle has gradually opened more of its site with the grounds, gardens, castle and play areas now available to visitors. And from July 11 the popular Water Maze will also be available.

For more information about the jousting tournaments or to book call 01732 865 224 or email info@hevercastle.co.uk. Bookings must be made by 3pm the Friday before.
