Mexican Celebration, Lullingstone

Lullingstone Castle at Eynsford, near Dartford, hosts its Mexican Celebration Weekend - Cactus at the Castle – on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26, between 11am and 5pm.

Organisers have teamed up with the Zone 14 of the British Cactus & Succulent Society for the event, which includes 20 plant stalls and Tom Hart Dyke, picture, right, leading tours of The World Garden at 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Admission is £10 with children under 16 free.

Napoleonic Weekend, Rolvenden

The re-enactment weekend returns to Hole Park in Rolvenden, bringing history to life, on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26. The Napoleonic Association of Great Britain will be staging military camps, mounted soldiers and battle re-enactments and displays. Included in admission is entry to the gardens. The friendly antiques, vintage and collectables fair will be back at Lingfield Park Racecourse on Sunday, September 26. There will be more than 140 indoor and outdoor stalls with art, deco, vintage, jewellery and shabby chic items. Entry from 10.30am to 3.30pm costs £3.50. Free tasting, Ashford

Food and drink firm Macknade has teamed up with the Wine Garden of England to hold in-store tasting sessions, showcasing Kentish vineyards. Hosted by Jo Smith from Wine Garden of England, the next free session will be at Macknade Ashford from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, September 25. The company also opened a new restaurant at Hoopers in Tunbridge Wells.

Race for Life, Herne Bay

The event in aid of Cancer Research UK comes to the seafront at Hampton Pier in Herne Bay on Sunday, September 26. This year, participants will set off on the Race for Life course either alone or in small, socially distanced groups. Hand sanitiser will also be provided.
