Award-winning Story Pocket Theatre bring their epic adventure of love, chivalry and magic to the Tonbridge theatre. Suitable for children aged seven and over, the fast-paced story is told with sword fights, slapstick humour, puppetry and storytelling. The well-loved stories of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Sir Lancelot, the Lady of the Lake and the sword Excalibur come to life in the adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s book, King Arthur. YouCan Run!

@ Leeds Castle

Returning to the castle just outside Maidstone, the YouCan Run has a 5km and a 10km route, raising funds to support young people in Kent and the South East whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Entry is £15 – and under 18s £10 - and includes a commemorative medal, t-shirt and post-run entry to the castle and grounds. Fossil Roadshow

@ Maidstone Museum

Saturday, September 30

Take along your fossil finds to be identified by the Medway Fossil and Mineral Society; play fossil games and handle some fascinating fossils at the event at the museum in St Faiths Street. The roadshow runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm and includes face painting. There may be a small charge for some activities.

October Open Day

@ Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway

Sunday October 1

Inspiration Inclusive Youth Theatre

@ Theatre Royal Margate

The youth theatre began as Peter and Zoe’s small idea, bringing together children with and without disabilities to work on theatrical projects. The BBC’s Children in Need charity funded the project. Now it celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special event at Theatre Royal Margate on Saturday, September 30, with a range of musical theatre pieces. Tickets are £6.
