Birds, Bugs and Beasts Leeds Castle
Saturday, February 11 to Sunday, February 19
Join Zoolab this half term at Leeds Castle, near Maidstone. There will be workshops for children of all ages where youngsters can get up close with a range of reptiles and learn all about creepy crawlies. Visitors can also come face to face with the castle's owls and watch the daily falconry display.

Living with birds Hever Castle
Saturday, February 11 - Sunday, February 19
Head to Hever Castle, near Edenbridge, to join in with the RSPB's feathered fun events. Activities run all day. They include a chance to feed the castle's birds, build a birdhouse or bird feeder and the castle quiz. Some activities carry an additional charge to the castle entry.

Bird of Prey Betteshanger Country Park, Deal
Sunday, February 12
Get up close with barn owls, eagle owls, harris hawks and falcons. Kids can also take part in an owl pellet dissection session between 11am and 2pm for a small charge of £3. The park also also has cycle trails where you can hire a bike for the day, play areas and lots of open space to discover.

February half term at Howletts, Canterbury
See the adorable baby rhino Mizi and her older sibling play in their paddock while exploring the park. There will be free talks throughout the day and kids can test themselves with a Treetop Challenge or an Animal Adventure Challenge. Don't forget to keep an eye open for the largest herd of African elephants in the UK.

The Great Illustrators' Trail Penshurst Place, near Tonbridge

Grab the kids, a pen and a pencil and head to the beautiful winter gardens at Penshurst to tackle theGreat Illustrators' Trail. Youngsters need to match the fantastic illustrations to the much-loved children’s book but there's a riddle or two along the way so thinking caps at the ready. The cost is included in standard garden ticket admission and the trail runs from 10.30am until 5pm daily.

Journey back to Oz with the kids, this time to follow the Tin Man's latest adventure. Brought to the stage by the team who created 2015’s the Princess And The Pea, this fan-packed production is suitable for kids older than eight.

Half term fun! Port Lympne, Hythe
Make your visit to Port Lympne better than ever by going along to one of the free talks on animal conservation or trying your hand at some art and crafts.
