See the castle through the looking glass when it is transformed into the world of Alice in Wonderland until Sunday, April 10. Running throughout the two weeks of the school holidays, there will be a themed trail across the estate for children, with a chocolate prize at the end. It costs £1 on top of normal admission fees. At 1.30pm daily in the Fairfax Courtyard, join the chaos with the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Alice and the Dormouse as they chase their table – which has a habit of getting bored and running away!

Have you ever wondered what wild food is good and safe to eat? On April 2 you and the family can go along to an introduction workshop to search and cook delicious foraged food. You will gather edible, wild food and then cook up a feast using well-tested recipes from the Wild Kitchen’s chef Lucia Stuart. The walk will take one to two hours and the remaining time at the workshop will be used to prepare, cook and enjoy the foraged food with a communal lunch.

With talks and feeds happening daily throughout the park, you'll be spoilt for choice as you learn about some wonderful creatures. There's also an outdoor play area with giant lego, mini diggers and go-karts to hands on encounters, museum exhibits and beautiful picnic locations.
