Camp Bestival brings festival tour to Dreamland Margate

by Lauren Abbott

A Kent attraction will be the host venue for a family party as part of a festival's nationwide tour.

Camp Bestival, which takes place over a long weekend in Dorset every July, has chosen Dreamland Margate as a Kent stop for its Big Fish Little Fish tour of family raves prior to this summer's main event at Lulworth Castle.

The festival's Pop Stars and Rock Stars theme will be coming to the Thanet amusement park on Saturday, April 8.

Big Fish Little Fish hosted two family raves at Dreamland last year - bringing top djs, arts and crafts and a myriad of fun for children.

It's partnership this year with Camp Bestival will see, it says, a series of 'fancy-dress-fuelled tear ups' happening at special locations across the country including at Dreamland.

To ensure that the whole family can indulge in some proper rock excess fantasies, the Camp Bestival Pop Stars & Rock Stars Photo Booth is also on its way to Dreamland to enable families to get creative with props and poses.

Those who Tweet, Facebook or Instagram their photo booth snaps with the hashtag #CB17ontour could win one of three Camp Bestival 2017 family tickets up for grabs.

The Camp Bestival party takes place from 2pm at Dreamland. Tickets are £9 for adults, £6 for children with those under 18 months free. Dreamland members receive priority booking.
