KM Group's family day out, Buster’s Big Bash at Canterbury’s Dane John Gardens

by Ben Skelton

Families across Kent are invited to register now for a day of space-hopper racing, go-karting and goodies galore next month.

Buster’s Big Bash returns to Canterbury’s Dane John Gardens on Saturday, May 18.

The annual event, which is entirely free, celebrates the KM Charity Team’s walk to school projects and reading reward initiative Buster’s Book Club. There will be circus performers, sporting challenges, emergency vehicles and stalls.

The fun takes place between 10am and 12.30pm, and the first 300 children to check in will receive a goody bag. In addition, every child who completes a special challenge sheet will be awarded with a visitor-attraction voucher.

The event will start with an attempt to break the record for the longest walk-to-school ‘crocodile’ that has ever walked down a Kent street.

Then, after children have completed a host of challenge activities, there will be a circus performance and a teddy bears’ picnic.

Buster’s Big Bash is free, but attendees need to register in advance at www.kmcharityteam.co.uk/booking
