Dear Zoo live on stage announces rescheduled Kent dates for Folkestone and Maidstone

Dear Zoo live on stage, will return to Kent this autumn, to perform the shows it was forced to cancel when it's truck and props were stolen.

The children's show, based on the book by Rod Campbell, was set for shows in Folkestone and Maidstone this month.

But producers were forced to suddenly scrap the touring production's spring and summer tour when its vehicle containing the entire show was stolen in Peterborough on Saturday (April 27).

A statement on its facebook page alongside the hashtag #saveourzoo read: "Thank you to everyone for your support. It is with regret that we will be cancelling the remaining dates of our Spring/Summer tour. We will be back! Our dates in the autumn will be going ahead.

"Please keep an eye out on our social media platforms for new and rescheduled tour dates."

Both The Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone and The Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone have now confirmed it has been able to reschedule performances for September.

There will be four shows in Maidstone across September 4 and 5 and in Folkestone on September 18 and 19.

As well as being available to existing ticket holders, the show has now gone back on sale for any other families who have heard about the production's plight and its £50,000 theft and wish to go along and support it.
