kmfm Christmas events in Westwood Cross, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells
kmfm is preparing for a bumper weekend of Christmas celebrations as Kent begins switching on the lights and welcoming Santa.
Presenter's on our sister radio station, together with its Street Team, which can be found at the biggest and best events in the county, are getting ready to don their Christmas hats for a festive-filled calendar of family fun.
We've rounded up some of the Christmas events you'll find them at in the coming weeks:
Westwood Cross, Margate
Friday, November 16
kmfm Breakfast hosts Garry and Laura will be joining X Factor finalists Four of Diamonds at the Thanet shopping centre.
The pair, along with the Street Team, will be helping to switch on the Christmas lights. Entertainment and the big switch-on takes place between 4pm and 7pm.
The Mall, Maidstone
Saturday, November 17
Garry and Laura will be at The Mall in Maidstone the following day to welcome Father Christmas to his grotto.
The kmfm duo will be at the centre on Saturday, November 17 to see Santa settle into his home in the town. The event starts at 10, Garry and Laura will be entertaining the crowds between 10.30 and 12.15 along with our kmfm Street Team who will be at the shopping centre with Christmas shoppers until 2.30pm.
Ashford,
Saturday, November 17
Street performers, dancers and of course Santa's elves will mark the big man's arrival in Ashford on November 17.
And the kmfm Street Team will be part of the full day of festive fun taking place in the town between 10.30am and 4pm. Shoppers will also be able to meet The Snowman and The Snowdog and don't forget to visit Santa in his grotto from 3pm
Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells
Sunday, November 18
kmfm Drivetime presenter Rob Wills is hosting this year's event at the Tunbridge Wells shopping centre. There's a range of activities on offer including a chance to meet the famous cheese-loving duo Wallace and Gromit, see the biggest teddy in town and, of course witness the arrival of Santa himself.
Father Christmas lands in the town from midday, accompanied by panto stars Claire Sweeney and Derek Moran, with his Grotto open to visitors until 4.30pm.
The lights will be switched on between noon and 12.30pm.
Paddock Wood
Sunday, November 25
Festive fun for all the family is promised in Paddock Wood high street when kmfm host this popular lights switch-on event.
Presenter Luke Gregory will be there along with the Street Team. Market stalls, food and drink, music and dance will be among the family entertainment at the free event.
It takes place between 3pm and 6pm.
