The South East Airshow, Herne Bay

Look to the skies this weekend in Herne Bay and you will see the Red Arrows roar overhead at the newly named South East Airshow. There will also be a jaw-dropping display from the Eurofighter Typhoon. The show starts at 10am and goes on all day. The event is free.

Tractorfest, Biddenden
All weekend
Vintage tractors will be pulling in admirers from across the county this weekend as the Biddenden Tractorfest and Country Fair gets under way. The event will see around 100 tractors exhibited along with vintage vehicles and cutting-edge models. There's also plenty of other traditional family fun to be had across the Saturday and Sunday.

The Railway Children, Marlowe Theatre

The classic coming-of-age story, which was inspired by a part of Kent – the Railway Children – returns to the county this weekend. The play of the story, that's running at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury , features a video landscape with digital projections.

There is still time to see the biggest children's film of the summer. The animated comedy takes place in Textopolis, a world inside a smartphone that's inhabited by various emojis.

Combined Ops Military and Air Show, Headcorn
All weekend
More than 350 military vehicles from the humble military motorcycle to battle tanks will be on show at this two-day extravaganza. With history and re-enactment group displays, model aircraft demonstrations, parachuting and tank rides, there's lots to keep all the family entertained.
