Traditional children’s rides, side shows, arcades, toffee apples and candy floss will all be on offer at the fair which runs from noon until 10pm on the Saturday and noon until 8pm on the Sunday (November 25).

Sunday is the culmination of the festival, which is organised by Tonbridge Rotary Club. The events start at 1.50pm with a marching band in the High Street.

The Hartley Morris Men will follow with performances throughout the day alongside a variety of commercial and charity stalls.

At just before 2.30pm the entertainment begins on the stage at the top end of town featuring Razzamatazz Theatre School, Charlotte Lubbock, Tonbridge Community Singers and band Roxxon.

The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm by the stars of the Angel Centre pantomime Snow White and the Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling Cllr Pam Bates.

After the lights switch on, the music will continue until 6pm when there will be a spectacular firework finale over Tonbridge Castle.

Cllr Maria Heslop, says: “The annual Christmas Festival in Tonbridge is always such a wonderful family event and this year looks set to be even better than ever with the three-day funfair, all the drama of the brand new Christmas lights switch on, live music performances, Christmas stalls and street performers and, of course, the amazing fireworks spectacular."
