Films to see in Kent with the kids this Christmas 2018

It is the season to sit back and relax with family and friends - and what better way to do so than in front of a film.

December has seen a bumper delivery of blockbusters arriving in Kent cinemas - just perfect for a Christmas or New Year outing whilst the kids are off school.

We've rounded up some of the films you might want to catch with the kids - from the toddlers to the teens - in the next couple of weeks:

Aquaman, 12A

Arthur Curry is Aquaman and heir to the throne of the underwater city of Atlantis.

As half-human, half-Atlantean he is caught between a world on the surface and an underwater kingdom but he's about to face up to the hero he's destined to be.

Jason Momoa stars as ‘Aquaman’ the latest DC Comics superhero to be brought to life, alongside Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe in this epic superhero adventure which was released on December 14.

Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse, PG

Head into the Spider-Verse where more than one person can wear the mask of Spider-man. Teenage student Miles Morales is the latest to take on the superhero persona after he is bitten by a radioactive spider.

The Brooklyn teen meets other spider people from parallel universes.

The film, which was released on December 12 is sure to appeal to Spidey fans everywhere, young and old in this new exciting animated adventure.

Dr Seuss green Christmas-hating creature is back and he is once again attempting to cancel Christmas for families in Whoville, but will he succeed?

Benedict Cumberbatch gives us the voice of The Grinch and the film, which was released at the end of November, is proving a big festive hit with families on the lookout for some big-screen Christmas viewing.

Jane and Michael have now grown-up but they're in need of some help once again so in flies Mary Poppins, this time played by British actress Emily Blunt.

The long-awaited sequel to the original starring Julie Andrews is released on Friday, December 21 and even features a cameo role by original cockney chimney sweep Dick Van Dyke.

It's 1987 and a young teenage girl called Charlie Watson, traumatised by the death of her father and upset with her mother for a new relationship, finds an old, battered and rusty Beetle in a junkyard.

She soon learns that its secretly a Transformer and she befriends the battle-worn and damaged robot as they set out on a thrilling adventure together neither could have predicted.
