Kent Big Weekend opens ballot for event on March 24 and 25, 2018
Free tickets to Kent's top attractions are now up for grabs.
The Kent Big Weekend celebrates what is great about the county by allowing people to explore some of the great places on their doorstep for free.
Thousands of tickets to the county's top tourist destinations are being made available via a ballot to people living in Kent. This includes, but is not limited to, people living within postcodes starting with CT, ME, TN, BR and DA.
The Kent Big Weekend takes place on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, and anyone applying for tickets is being urged to ensure they are available to visit on the date for which they are applying for tickets.
Hundreds of Kent attractions are taking part in the ballot.
Historic sites including Dover Castle, Deal Castle, Winston Churchill's home at Chartwell and Hever Castle and Gardens are among those available to apply to. Together with animal attractions including Wingham Wildlife Park, the Rare Breeds Centre, Howletts and Port Lympne.
There are also tickets to railways and museums, restaurants and hotels, breweries and vineyards.
Kent residents can apply for tickets by creating an account on the Kent Big Weekend website before scrolling through all of the offers available and clicking 'apply' for those they wish to be considered for.
You can browse attractions by category or through searching for a name or location.
You can apply for tickets to as many attractions as you like and each ticket is normally valid for two people. You cannot apply for the same type of ticket multiple times.
Winners are allocated at random so the more tickets you apply for, the greater chance you have of winning.
The website will close to applications at midnight on Saturday, March 3.
Everyone who has applied through the ballot will be notified by email as to whether they have been successful or not.
Successful applicants will be sent an email with a link to tickets and if you are successful for one attraction, you will be removed from the ballot for any other attractions you have applied for.
