There will be live music, maypole and morris dancing and a tug-of-war alongside all of the heritage farming attraction's regular activities.

But organisers are on the lookout for children who can join the annual parade and all important crowning ceremony of the May King, Queen, Princes and Princesses.

Families can nominate their little ones to join in the fun by sending details of their name, age and why they should be crowned to enquiries@kentlife.org.uk

Successful nominees will be given all day entry to Kent Life on May 7 for themselves and their immediate family and they will also get a guided tour of the site from one of Kent Life's entertainers.

Most of the farm’s attractions are included in admission such as the indoor and outdoor play areas and the chance to get up close to some of the farm’s smaller animals including rabbits and guinea pigs in cuddle corner. There are other animals to discover in the historic outhouse barns such as sheep, cattle, pigs, horses, donkeys, goats, poultry and alpacas.

Small charges apply for some other attractions and Dotty's Tearooms will also be open for business.
