Hollywood Bowl and Cineworld in Kent unveil plans to reopen in July
Bowling alleys and cinemas could soon join historic attractions and animal parks in reopening their doors to families.
Two big Kent chains have announced plans this week to reopen at the start of July.
Hollywood Bowl ten-pin bowling centres in Kent have reopened booking sites ahead of plans to reopen their doors from July 4.
With a raft of new safety measures in place bosses hope to welcome back players to bowling lanes at complexes in Ashford, Rochester, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.
Cinema chain Cineworld hopes that it will be able to welcome back film fans to the big screen from next month, with plans to open three Kent cinemas in Rochester, Ashford and Dover.
Disney's live action remake of Mulan is likely to be amongst the first family films to be shown, having had its initial spring release postponed because of coronavirus until the end of next month.
Staff are currently preparing and putting in place a raft of safety measures to meet government guidelines when they get the go-ahead to open their doors.
Social distancing measures will be in place, booking sites will be amended to accommodate the changes and to separate households, and film start and end times will be staggered to avoid any crowding.
