Betteshanger Park in Deal hosts Spring in the Park
Put a spring in your family's step with a new event at a Kent country park.
Spring on the Park is a new addition to Betteshanger's calendar and takes place on Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8.
The free event at the park near Deal will be packed, organisers say, with family friendly displays, interactive performances and activities.
The Essex Dog Display team, Britain’s premier dog display team, will be making its first visit to the park where its dogs will scale ramps, negotiate obstacles, face hoops of fire and apprehend ‘criminals’ in an action-packed display guaranteed to leave visitors spellbound.
The popular Sky Birds of Prey team will be making a return visit this year after extremely popular displays last summer.
Visitors can get up close, learn about the behaviour of a number of birds of prey and witness fantastic flight displays.
Mike’s Donkeys are also making a return to the coast with Bella, Charlie, Danny and Dermot stopping at Bettteshanger between 10am and 4pm each day.
In addition to all of the animal displays where will be stalls, crafts and food and drink from local producers for visitors to enjoy.
Keith Lee, head of programme at Betteshanger Park, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming back the popular Sky Birds of Prey display team and Mike’s Donkeys plus we’re excited to showcase the enormously skilled Essex Dog Display team for the first time.
"We hope ‘Spring on the Park’ will become an annual fixture on the Betteshanger event calendar.”
