Betteshanger Park near Deal launches snow tubing and snow caves for winter fun

A Kent park is embracing the winter chill over Christmas by launching some thrilling outdoor events for families.

Betteshanger near Deal is launching Snow Tubing and Snow Caves for the Christmas and New Year period.

From Thursday, December 21 until Monday, January 1 families can get the adrenaline pumping by flying down the man-made slope in large inflatable rings or clambering underneath the ski slope through 100 metres of caves hidden underneath.

Both snow caves and snow tubing is designed for children aged five and above but little daredevils under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

All safety equipment will be provided and organisers say no special skills are required

Snow tubing is £5 for three goes of the run while the snow caves experience, which is a crawl lasting between 10 and 15 minutes, is £5 each.

If your family is looking for something a little quieter in the run up to Christmas Betteshanger is also hosting a Woodland Elf School on December 17. The interactive session promises fun, games, craft activities and magic and is suitable for children aged four and over. Tickets, at £15 for children and £5 for adults, must be pre-booked here as there is limited availability.
