School break activities for kids in Kent

There are plenty of events taking place across the county during the school break.

Some of them below...

Medway

Hempstead Valley is hosting free activities from Monday, April 4 until Sunday, April 10.

On Monday and Tuesday a Hansel and Gretel cupcake decorating workshop takes place. Staff will be on hand to help children ice and decorate their own cupcake.

On Wednesday, April 6, there will be gardening gun workshops allowing children to decorate a pot to grow their own cress or bean in.

From Thursday April 7 until Sunday April 10 Makendoo return for four days with art and craft workshops with themes including dinosaurs, spring flowers, bees and birds. Children can make masks and hats to take home using paint and glitter and these workshops will be held outside Boots.

All workshops run from 11am to 1pm and resume at 2pm to 4pm. There is no need to book but parental supervision is required at all times.

Canterbury

Bright Young Things tuition centre is running a number of extra-curricular activities during the school break at its Watling Street base.

On Friday April 1 is a drama workshop from 2pm to 4pm.

A scriptwriting workshop takes place on Tuesday, April 5, where children will work together and shoot their own film followed by a philosophy workshop on Wednesday April 6.

The week of events finishes with a debating workshop on Friday April 8 from 2pm to 4pm.
