We’ve picked 10 movies showing at Cineworld that have plenty of appeal for parents, little ones and everyone in-between - and when you go as a family, you can even pay a child’s price for your ticket*

Spider-Man Homecoming (12A)

Tom Holland proves he’s the (young) man for the job in this hugely entertaining entry in the series which sees school boy Spider-Man trying his superhero costume for size. An ideal Marvel movie for youngsters, Spider-Man also has lots to offer adults, from Robert Downey-Jr as the sardonic Tony Stark to a nostalgic vibe that harks back to 80s teen movies. Out now

The wild card is Gene, an emoji who can break more than one expression - but Gene is desperate to become normal and goes on a mission with his mates Hi-5 and Jailbreak. The Jungle Bunch (U)

Who can resist a Kung Fu penguin living in the jungle who thinks he’s a tiger? Join Maurice and his gang of animated animals as they go on a mission to protect their jungle home. This is the first big screen outing for the merry bunch of misfits, who include a goldfish, a tarsier and a gorilla - and kids will love the army of silly baboons lead by Igor the evil Koala. The Lego Ninjago Movie (PG)

If you’ve seen the Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie, you’ll be as excited as we are about the latest spin-off. The Lego Ninjago Movie opens up a whole new world as lego Ninjas and Samurai take on dragons and snake-men. The action kicks in when evil warlord Lord Gagmadon tries to come back from the underworld, unleashing mayhem and crazy combat galore. Expect bucketloads of irreverent humour - these gags come thick and fast and really zing for kids and adults. Listen out for Dave Franco, Olivia Munn and Jackie Chan. Out October 13

My Little Pony: The Movie

Welcome back to Equestria, where the pretty ponies frolic in castles as colourful as their manes. Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Here’s the present on everyone’s Christmas wishlist: a trip to the cinema with the family for a great new Star Wars movie. Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle

Here’s a great fit for families with teens in tow. The brand new version of Jumanji sees four teenagers in detention who discover an old video game. Hey presto, they’re sucked into the world of the game and the thick of the jungle for an incredible ride. They’re also stuck in the bodies of their avatars, which brings big laughs, as well as top turns from Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. Something for everyone! Ferdinand

The director of Rio brings a heartwarming new animation to cinemas. Based on the beloved book The Story Of Ferdinand, it tells the story of a giant bull who’s captured and taken to a scary new place - but he gets a gang of misfits together for an epic adventure. The endearing fish-out-of-water story features an all-star cast including John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez and Anthony Anderson. A perfect fit for a family Christmas. Out December 22
