One Warwick Park, Tunbridge Wells launches baby shower party packages

A Kent hotel has launched baby shower packages to enable parents-to-be to throw the ultimate party for their new baby.

One Warwick Park says families can host 'the best-ever baby shower' with its new service that offers mothers-to-be everything they need to celebrate the imminent arrival of their offspring.

The Tunbridge Wells hotel says its newly created function room is a 'light and blank canvas' which can be turned into mum's very own 'party pad'.

Families can choose from a Noah's Ark, Peter Rabbit or Polka Party theme with an experienced events team even on hand to help expectant parents pick and create their own bespoke and memorable party.

Baby showers, which are a predominantly American tradition in which a mum is 'showered' with gifts for her unborn baby, are growing in popularity in the UK and usually involve a gathering of the mother's closest family and friends.

The cost to hire One Warwick Park's function room is, says the hotel, from £120.

While traditional afternoon tea is £16 per guest, £22 if a glass of prosecco is included or £25 with a glass of Champagne. With this guests can enjoy bite-sized delicacies, finger sandwiches and scones served with preserves and clotted cream.
