Hundreds of walkers will be stepping out just for fun or to raise sponsor money for their favourite cause at the KM Charity Walk. Anyone raising £200 or more will go into a prize draw to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.

Under-16s go free if booked online in advance and walkers - and their dogs - can follow a relaxed five-mile route or a more challenging ten-mile option.

Children can take part in a scavenger hunt set by the Kent Wildlife Trust and use their findings to create nature art at the Trust’s stand.

Each walker will collect stamps from stamping stations to exchange for a goody bag and souvenir medal.

On completion of the walk, participants can relax at a summer fayre featuring a barbecue, food and drink stalls, and live music.

The event takes place on Sunday, June 24, and both routes start and end at Grade II listed Georgian mansion Mote House in Maidstone’s Mote Park.

The KM Charity Walk is supported by Berry Gardens, Glosrose Engineering, Simply Ice Cream, Jarmans Solicitors, Maidstone Ramblers, and The Woodstove Trading Company.

To book, visit www.KmCharityWalk.co.uk and use the SUPERSAVERCW18 discount code to get adult tickets for just £5 each.

Or just turn up and pay on the day at a cost of £15 per adult and £2 per under-16 year-old.

Check-in is between 8am and 10am at Mote House. The walk officially begins at 9am.

The KM Charity Walk is one of many challenge events staged annually by the KM Charity Team including the KM Dragon Boat Race on July 1, and new to 2018 the Zombie Charge on October 28. Visit www.KmCharityTeam.co.uk/Booking and use the discount code KMNEWS18
