Be Bright Be Seen campaign with kmfm, KM Media Group and KCC

Thousands of free key rings will help youngsters be seen on the streets of Kent this winter thanks to the success of our Be Bright Be Seen campaign.

We were inundated with requests for the reflectors - with more than 70,000 of you asking for a batch.

This year's Be Bright Be Seen campaign in conjunction with KCC's Road Safety Team has seen the largest amount of discs ever being sent to schools and organisations.

As the darker mornings and evenings approached, kmfm, My Kent Family and our KM Group newspapers joined forces with safety experts to remind families how important it is to Be Bright Be Seen in the darker months, highlighting the importance of both fluorescent and reflective clothing.

Alongside the 6,000 keyrings heading for schools and community groups are additional batches being handed out to kmfm listeners who come along to Christmas lights switch-ons and grotto openings with presenters and Street Teams.

kmfm programme manager, Rob Wills said: It’s really important that children stay seen at winter. With darker mornings on the walk to school and the walk home being the same, these reflective

discs can help drivers see them to stay visible.

"With Kent County Council Road Safety’s tips to stay visible as well, this was the perfect partnership.
