Secondary school applications in Kent and Medway nearing deadline

Families in Kent have until the end of October to apply for their child's place at secondary school.

With the release of Kent and Medway Test results this week, the deadline is closing in for families to list their preferred choice of secondary schools for children due to leave primary school next year.

Applications for children due to start secondary school in September 2018 opened on September 4 and for both Kent County Council and Medway Council will close on October 31.

For Kent County Council applications families can list up to four schools - in order of preference.

For families living in Medway this is extended to six.

Some schools may also require families to complete an additional form called a Supplementary Information Form or SIF. Those schools will have made families aware during open days and tours that this may be needed and can be collected directly from the school.
