2017 baby names: fresh list of 40 revealed

While Olivia, Amelia and Jack have long dominated the popular baby name lists, the latest string of names to emerge online are unlikely to knock them from their secure top spots.

Parenting website babycentre UK has released a list of 40 names - 20 for boys and 20 for girls - which they are describing as 'fresh names' for 2017.

Among them in the pink corner are Adelina, Juniper, Delta and Vogue for girls. 

While in the blue corner Ocean, Urban, Atlas and Apollo are among the options for expectant parents awaiting the arrival of a little boy.

babycentre UK describe the names listed as those for parents who prefer a more 'unusual choice'.
